Compassion Acts

This spring we are launching a new fundraising campaign. Many of us know how challenging it is to raise a family in these times. Whether in work, owning your own home or on benefits; there are so many pressures. Children are the future and yet child poverty is on the rise. That word ‘poverty’ can be misleading because often it is expressed in rising levels of loneliness, anti social behaviour, spirals of low aspiration, debt, anxiety or unhealthy living.

We believe that by investing in activities we can keep families out of the need to use foodbanks. Surely that has got to be a laudable aim. However none of this is guaranteed unless we can raise more funds locally.

We receive no government funding and a three year grant to support some of the social wellbeing work has come to an end.  Rather than cut back the services we would like to appeal for help to plug our funding gap for 2025 and ensure the continuation of our help for local families.
